OK - Who can tell me...
« on: September 17, 2004, 14:48:28 »
... why a dog's footpads smell like popcorn?  Well, sort of...    No matter what kind of dog, their environment.. they all kinda have "that smell"....
“Somewhere a True Believer is training to kill you. He is training with minimum food or water, in austere conditions, day and night. The only thing clean on him is his weapon. He doesn’t worry about what workout to do—his rucksack weighs what it weighs, and he runs until the enemy stops chasing him. The True Believer doesn’t care ‘how hard it is’; he knows he either wins or he dies. He doesn’t go home at 1700; he is home. He knows only the ‘Cause.’ Now, who wants to quit?”

I think my dogs feet smell more like corn chips - the puppy has stronger smelling feet than the older one.  Both Beagles.

Who was it who said, "I don't know if my troops scare the enemy but they sure scare the hell out of me" I think that's what Tess is talking about.
Nothing is good enough for the troops, so nothing is what they are going to get.

Who was it who said, "I don't know if my troops scare the enemy but they sure scare the heck out of me" I think that's what Tess is talking about.

I don't want to alarm you, but dogs (evolutionary speaking) probably came before humans began microwaving popcorn in their caves- hence the more accurate and distubing question is "Why does my popcorn smell like my dog's feet."

Perhaps you bought your popcorn at PetSmart??

I suggest that the operative question is "does your dog like popcorn?"

CORRECTION!!!!

Ahem..

Not DOGS but WOLVES, more appropriately DIRE WOLVES (HUGE) from a long time ago, roamed the earth long before popcorn. All dogs are the decendants of the wolf. And the wolf and the bear come from a large predator mammal (Can't remember the exact name) that was like a mix between the two in size/looks etc from along time ago. SO.... Does anyone know what a wolf's pads smell like???

That may lead to the solution of this enigmatic secret!!!

Or, email Discovery channel... ?

:P

PS> Get this, theory on whales is that they have actually evolved 3 times now from a large land predator to the ocean going version of itself now. They have fossil records and everything! It looked kinda like ... *Thinks*.... *Thinking*....... .. .. . . .  ..... Really big version of a not-so-furry-bear with a long snout. Yes, I am referring to the Bear/Wolf ancestor species which those originated from. But farther back then that. I'll stop now. Stop watching Discovery channel and animal shows.

PPS> Outer Limits ROCKS!

I wasn't saying you were wrong, I was just pointing out that it varies from province to province, the provinces on each side of Ontario have drinking ages of 18.

Cheers

The good thing about email however is you don't have to worry if your fly is up, or stuff is stuck to you teeth- and you never hear anyone say "I am afraid to death of public emailing"
