2.4km run?
« on: February 08, 2006, 23:28:03 »
My friend told me that for his physical test, he didn't run 2.4 km. They made him and others do a step test and measure his pulse. Also, they were required to do 23 situps, not 29.

I live in Ontario if you were wondering

Bigboy,

I will wait for a response to Big Foot's question, as you are on-line.

Hope it is a good follow up or it is deleted.

See this brochure, which can found from this page linked from the Recruiting FAQ (http://www.recruiting.forces.ca/engraph/howtojoin/fitness_eval_e.aspx):

http://www.recruiting.forces.ca/media/pdf/physical_fitness_en.pdf

Page 13.

"During your Pre-Enrolment Physical Fitness Evaluation, a qualified instructor will conduct a step test to measure your aerobic firness.  For the Self-Assessment, however, you will have to do a 2.4 Km run to gauge your level."

Page 12.

"The minimum performance objectives to be met are shown below."

Pushups
men, under 35 years of age - 19

Might I suggest you contemplate the probablity that between your own lack of accurate prior knowledge and your friend's (perhaps unintentional) misinformation, compounded by a lack of research on this site, that you might owe 48th regulator an apology for your attitude.
